Fifty years ago, Christian Frederik Møller welcomed 50 students in an auditorium at Nørreport 20 in the centre of Aarhus. The founder of C.F. Møller was the first rector of The Aarhus School of Architecture. The school's silver jubilee celebrations include a major exhibition at the school. The C.F. Møller studio's contribution is a film, which will be shown at the exhibition. It describes the architectural studio's visions and approach to residential building projects. "At the Anniversary Exhibition, leading architects and architectural studios from Denmark and abroad present their impressions of the profession, the architecture and, not least, the school itself," explains The School of Architecture on its website. "Each has had a decisive role to play in the development of the school from an avant garde architectural college to an internationally recognised academic institution. The films are their gift to the school on the occasion of the school's 50th Anniversary." In connection with the silver jubilee, former rector of the Aarhus School of Architecture, Mogens Brandt Poulsen, has published a book entitled "Den Gode Skole – og arkitektmiljøet i Aarhus" (The good school – and the architectural environment in Aarhus). The book is partly financed by a subsidy from C.F. Møller. The Anniversary Exhibition will run until 15 November 2015. See C.F. Møller's contribution to the Anniversary Exhibition in the images above. Click below to access the video film.
