New Homes in Södra Ladugårdsängen

C.F. Møller Architects and Magnolia Housing have won a part of the future district of Södra Ladugårdsängen in Örebro, Sweden – a neighbourhood with architecture and the environment at the forefront.
The urban design of the residential area in Örebro takes its cue from the municipality's vision of a green and active district with focus on high-quality, sustainable urban architecture, with attractive design and smart features. Södra Ladugårdsängen will be composed of a variety of home typologies for people with different lifestyles. The entire new district covers about 23 ha with about 2000 new homes, close to the city and Örebro University as well as to nature and recreational areas. The project will include 150 homes, and construction is scheduled for autumn 2016. Örebro is one of Sweden's fastest growing cities. Södra Ladugårdsängen is an integral part of the city, only two kilometres from the centre of Örebro. The first phase is divided into six plots with a total land area of approximately 24,000 m2. The detailed development plan provides the opportunity to build homes on two to five floors, as well as retail space, offices and a school.
