The overall plan for the Urban Campus in Kolding links a series of important central locations along the Kolding river into a new dynamic urban area. The site is transformed into a modern mix-use city block structure with housing, parking structures, cultural institiutions, canal streets, and a better linkage to the rest of the city by traversing the railroad lines. The integration of a University and Research Park linked with the town’s existing educational institutions also serves as the link to the recreational green areas further along the river and close to the port, and this area also becomes a potential expansion site for the university functions.
