The 1995-1996 master plan calls for an extension of the harbour by approximately 150 hectares, including increased container, roll-on/off and bulk handling activity, with the general aim of creating better integration between the harbour and the city. Although a large modern harbour requires a clear division from the city for functional, security and in particular environmental reasons, the master plan also provides the citizens of Aarhus with new possibilities for recreational activities. Apart from creating the master plan, C.F. Møller has continuously been responsible for a series of functional building - from warehouses and technical installations to welfare and administrative buildings.
