| The Rock is a prize-winning entry in an international architectural competition to design Europe’s most energy-conserving office building. The energy-saving concept demanded innovation and provided entirely new possibilities in the architectural expression, as different building shapes arise when you design to save energy and adapt to wind and light conditions. The Rock has a solid building body to enable it to retain energy, and rises up like a monolithic mountain, with facetted sides that provide optimum views and make the best possible use of the wind and sunlight conditions. The office building has a total energy consumption of just 64 kwh/m2/y. |
