C.F. Møller is acting as client adviser on the extension of Varde Town Hall, which will be combined with Borgercenter (citizen centre) Varde. The design guide is based on the need to unify the two locations and sets out principles for developing the physical framework of the future Varde Town Hall. The aim is to create a shared direction for how buildings and spaces support staff wellbeing, task performance and collaboration, as well as interaction with citizens. The guide brings together principles and recommendations for spaces, materials, furnishings and functions, and serves as a common frame of reference for future decisions.

The design guide ensures coherent architectural and functional quality across the town hall’s two locations, while allowing room for differences in needs and use. The guide serves as a practical decision-making tool for planning and development and clarifies the intentions and parameters that should guide future adaptations.
