The Silia magazine rack has a super simple and reduced look that fits in many types of spaces and interiors. Silia is a spatial and poetic sculpture with a practical function for storing magazines. It can also be used to display special artefacts or store yarn, games and more.

The magazine rack can be placed on the floor, on low tables or furniture arrangements.

Silia is constructed as two identical discs that are slanted at the bottom and have a carefully placed cut across half the diameter of the disc. The visual and sculptural power is created when one disc is rotated and pushed together with the other at a right angle, so that the two circular surfaces together form a spatial, stable and self-stiffening construction that is fixed with brass angles on the underside.

Silia is available in two variants with the same shape but different materials and expressions. One variant has surfaces in black-stained oak, while the other has surfaces in highly polished stainless steel – both variants have a black edge. Silia is one of a series of small furniture and accessories that C.F. Møllers Architects has designed for the company Gejst.
