C. F. Møller win through to final

Three winners have been selected to continue to the negotiation stage of the contract to design the new multifunctional Copenhagen Arena in Copenhagen's Ørestad district. C. F. Møller got into the final.
The project was put out to tender in the autumn of 2011 - forty-one international teams applied for pre-qualification and five teams were prequalified. The three teams consisting of architects, engineers and arena experts that now continue in the design competition for Copenhagen Arena are: - C. F. Møller, Grimshaw, Arup, Niras and Marianne Levinsen - 3xN, HKS architects, Arup and ME Engineers - Foster + Partners, Arkitektfirmaet 78 and Arup C. F. Møller Architects, the London-based architectural firm Grimshaw, engineering firms Arup and Niras and landscape architect Marianne Levinsen have strong references in combination and will work to deliver not only a realistic and visionary design for this exciting project but one which will stimulate the imagination and provide a catalyst for regeneration and urban growth within the Ørestad Syd district. Most convincing During the next months, C. F. Møller will work on design development of the project in cooperation with Arena CPHX P/S. The final winner will be selected before the summer break, when the successful winning project will be presented to the public. "We are now one step further in the process and in the planning of the design of Copenhagen's new arena. We have received some extremely interesting proposals for the design and have selected those that most convincingly represent our vision for an arena that will improve the sports and cultural life and urban development of Copenhagen," says Arena CPHX P/S Managing Director Claus Wiegand Larsen.
