Sustainability

C.F. Møller's vision is to improve a better life for people and planet. We integrate sustainability directly into our solutions from the very first sketch to create greater value for clients, users and society.
We take individual, sustainable actions that fulfil specific goals and create a holistic, architectural vision that weaves the individual parts into a greater whole.

We use specially developed parametric tools to analyse LCA, daylight, microclimate, biodiversity, etc. from the earliest stages of the design process.

LCA AND CLIMATE
New climate requirements in the Nordic countries present the construction and property sectors with a range of new challenges. C.F. Møller has developed a selection of innovative services and tools that can support our clients with the green transition. Our tools are digitally connected to the industry-leading LCA tool, LCAbyg, and can calculate the climate impact of construction whilst we sketch. We can quickly perform high-precision climate calculations from the very first stages, which can be used as strategic guidance when developing projects from the very first concepts.

CERTIFICATIONS
Sustainability initiatives create extra value for clients and society. C.F. Møller has extensive experience in certifying buildings based on the DGNB, LEED and BREEAM certification systems. We have developed a certification management process that includes screenings, pre-certifications and final certification. The process takes place from the initial phase of the project until the delivery of the building and emphasises a good, proactive and smooth process with early involvement of the client. We carry out certifications on both our own and others' buildings.

TIMBER BUILDINGS
C.F. Møller has worked for many years with timber construction as a tool for minimising the climate impact of buildings. We have worked with designed esidential, office and educational buildings in timber for both private and public clients, and with projects of all scales from 1,000 m2 to over 50,000 m2. We have developed design strategies around grid size and structural system to create resource-efficient solutions, and construction strategies concerning moisture, fire ,acoustics and the construction process to minimise risk.

C.F. Møller is a member of the UN Global Compact and works actively to support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Every year, we publish the Communication on Progress Report, which also includes documentation for Corporate Social Responsibility and Gender Equality.
