The Comfort House is a single-family house built according to the 'passive house' principle with almost no heating expenses and an optimum inner climate. Architecturally, C.F. Møller's Comfort House takes its cue from the bright and simple tradition of Nordic modernism. The house is closed off towards the north and open, with large glass panels, towards the south, which is also where the living-rooms are located. A wooden deck in front of the house provides a terrace. The glass panels have integrated solid elements to reduce heat loss and screen off the sun. The house is made of brick with inner walls of wood; both materials help to create a natural regulation of the inner climate. The materials are used consistently both inside and outside the house, thereby creating a smart continuity between the indoor and outdoor design.
