The series’ point of departure was the creation of a series of shower and bath chairs that not only facilitate and simplify the everyday life of older people and those with reduced mobility but, thanks to a beautiful and simple design, also appeal to anyone wanting a little extra comfort and safety in the bathroom. The challenge of the universal and aesthetic approach has been to maintain simplicity of expression, despite varying assembly options and a wide range of accessories such as a backrest, armrests and floor support, aimed at different user groups’ individual needs. Function, ergonomics and aesthetics have thus gone hand in hand.

A big emphasis has been placed on users’ experience of comfort and safety; practical considerations regarding assembly, operation and cleaning have also been crucial. The product’s contribution to the overall spatial experience has likewise been important. This is reflected by the fact that the super-optimised armrests with two positions and the automatic floor support are subservient to the overall shape, thus the product also appears integrated and simple when the seat is folded up.

The series was developed in collaboration with the German company Normbau – one of Europe's leading care-equipment suppliers. C. F. Møller Architects has previously designed product lines for Normbau, including an extensive series of support grips and much more for bathroom fittings, marketed under the name Cavere. The series received the 2019 Design Plus Prize.
