The headquarters of The Danish Heath Society lies on the approach road to Viborg, on a west-facing hill with a beautiful view of the town. The complex expresses both a certain monumentality and an adaptation to the rural context. In order to make the best use of the fine view, and due to the structure of the terrain, the buildings are oriented to the west and south. Most of the working rooms and common rooms are turned towards the view. The building forms a sharply-carved sculptural facade to the east, which is where the main entrance is located. The sturdy red brickwork with its recessed windows contributes to the impression of a solid and presentable company. The interior expresses a refined play on the contradiction between the heavy masonry basis and light, wood-clad constructions.
