C. F. Møller Architects has been responsible for developing a facade design for the new production and administration buildings, with a focus on creating attractive and well-lit working environments and visitor corridors, as well as giving Himmerlandskød a prominent appearance along Aalestrup''s ring road.
The construction is based on an optimization of processes, food safety, water consumption, electricity consumption and transport, with space for up to 3,200 cattle per week, corresponding to approx. 150,000 cattle per year. The facades are adapted to the requirements of these processes, and are based on a simple vertical metal cladding, with pronounced square window openings that provide light and a view to workplaces, but at the same time shield parts of the production from sightlines and direct sunlight.
