Dilling is a wool and textile company that has been selling goods in Denmark and internationally since 1916. As the business has expanded, the site has been expanded through several phases, beginning with a logistics centre as the first completed part of new facilities. The façade of the logistics centre is slatted with timber that creates a unified expression, with varying openings between slats creating transparency and large glass panes providing the employees with natural daylight and a view of the surrounding new park, where nature restoration, biodiversity and rainwater management have been a major focus.
Natural flow
The new office building has a strong focus on sustainability, which also reflects the focus of the company's sustainable profile and products. The construction of the two-storey office building primarily consist of timber frames. In order to create a connection to the park and nature at one end of the building, the building is curved. In the kink of the building, the entrance to the house is established in a double-height foyer, from which you can move to all sections of the building. Here, the company's departments are located along a central street, which ensures that passing through the building gives a sense of the activities in the house. A particular feature of the project is the floorplan layout, which ensures a natural flow through the domicile, allowing easy contact with all employees. On the ground floor a showroom, office functions, and sewing room are established. On the first floor, there are meeting rooms and an event hall with a full width external staircase, connecting directly to the landscaped park with a natural vegetation focusing on biodiversity, as well as a fully integrated rainwater basin.
