The factory produces fibre-glass blades in a highly specialized process, requiring strict performance of ventilation and interior climate control. The complex comprises 40 meter wide pre-fab production bays, and offices, canteen and changing rooms for 400 employees. The ends of the bays are designed as large-scale light and view openings, with a combination of translucent panels and clear window strips. The extensive ventilation plants necessary for the epoxy work are placed outside the bays in a series of technical towers, complementing the horizontal facades of the bays. Each tower also contains a supplement to the work environment, in the form of either an office space or a glazed worker’s lounge.
