DAC has relocated to the new BLOX, which stands in great contrast to the historic warehouse Gammel Dok Pakhus, which they occupied earlier. Here, a new connection between shop, exhibition and café has been created and a working environment with a unique, visual contact with the building's visitors has been developed. With the title "Living the brand", the interior reflects DAC's work and culture and takes into account public access and visitors of all age groups.
Workplace Design
Development of a concept for an activity-based working environment and preparation of a design concept for the choice of colors, materials and furnishings.
Layout and interior design of café, shop, reception, educatorium and auditorium. All areas were developed based on DAC's values ??and with a focus on functionality in close collaboration with relevant DAC employees.
Detailed design of work areas and implementation of the inventory process. Design of special inventory for the café, shop, educatorium and arrival. The special inventory was adapted to be part of the architecture as a natural part of it and at the same time support DAC's special character.
The project created a diversity of workplaces and places, as well as a workplace that invited dynamics and joint activities. Managers and employees with low presence share workplaces and other employees were placed in groups corresponding to departments upon moving in.
Process management and user involvement
Facilitation of the relocation process from Gammel Dok to BLOX. The project was developed in collaboration with two senior employees at DAC. Workshops and interviews with the management group were held throughout the process.
