Arrival at the school is through the playful landscape, in a vehicle-free environment. The landscape forms niches which cater for every age group, with everything from playhouses to a skater space and ball courts. The landscaping is with grasses and bushes that are adapted to the saline environment around the school. The vegetation creates a tangible green framework around the landscape's niches for play and sitting.

The landscape is carried across an arrival bridge to the school's entrance on the first floor, where the landscape continues across the school's private terrace storey and roof.

To the south, there is a new harbour promenade, as the setting for future water-based activities. The promenade will include a learning environment for the school's pupils, as well as activities for Nordhavn's residents.
