The framework agreement involves preparing strategic plans for the urban development of municipally owned areas. This includes preparing stakeholder and citizen involvement processes, strategic urban management, interdisciplinary project development, realising political visions and handling political processes. The strategic planning also involves conducting feasibility studies based on analyses of urban, infrastructural, financial, demographic and market conditions. The feasibility studies will be conducted using physical volume studies and development strategies. These will form the basis for a commercial and urban planning assessment for a tender, a project development or an internal dialogue in the municipality.
Optimising the qualities of the urban areas
The strategic urban consultancy work and feasibility studies are centred around preparing operational strategies for developing and converting buildings, lots and districts. This also helps create a strategic foundation for projects and a solid decision-making basis for politicians, landowners and developers. The feasibility studies help develop and optimise the qualities and market value of the urban areas. Through a holistic view of urban development and the qualities of urban spaces, the feasibility studies ensure that the visionary strategy for the development of the area is in line with the technical, planning, urban and economic conditions. This ensures that the sale and development of municipal and private properties are not just seen from a market and economic perspective but are balanced to achieve the optimal urban qualities. In a wide range of projects, C.F. Møller Architects has provided a basis for tendering and decision-making in connection with the development and conversion of properties and urban areas which vary in scope, character and complexity, and in terms of size range from 5,000 m2 to 190 ha. In Aarhus Municipality, C.F. Møller Architects has previously assisted with managing many of the municipality’s largest urban development projects by offering advice on tenders, dialogue and process facilitation.
