The development is centrally located, close to the city centre of Aarhus and is a sculptural and modern interpretation of the classic residential estate. The height of the development steps down from north to south to meet the height of the surrounding buildings. This gives the development a distinctive look and makes it possible to utilise the roof surfaces for both shared and private roof gardens, which brings the area to life and makes it an attractive and appealing place to live. The stepped roofs ensure sufficient daylight and good views from all apartments, as well as providing natural light to the inner courtyard. An urban area will be established in the courtyard. The residential area contains many different sizes of housing, ranging from student-friendly apartments to family apartments and penthouses. Each house’s square meterage is effectively utilised and designed with a rational floor plan.

Attractive living areas

All apartments have access to outdoor space with many different types of outdoor living areas such as courtyards, balconies and communal and private roof gardens. The courtyard of the building is designed as a common living area, whilst private terraces for the ground floor apartments are located along the courtyard facades. The terraces are concealed by plants and hedges, creating a gradual transition from the shared courtyard to the private living areas. The facade is made of brick and is based on a grid structure, where windows and balconies are systematically placed. Transitions between floors are emphasised by reversed bricks that provide a sculptural expression and underline the geometry of the building. The building's base consists of retail spaces that help to activate the area.
