Each year, Campus BØGEHØJ in Ebeltoft hosts up to 20,000 guests, including students, managers and employees from the group. It is the place where all Salling Group’s students come for their education.
The Bøgehøj campus is set in a stunning, hilly landscape within the Mols Bjerge National Park on the outskirts of Ebeltoft. The original complex, designed by Danish Friis & Moltke, has been expanded to offer even better guest experiences with a new timber-built wing that supports Salling Group’s sustainability strategy. Building in timber reduces the CO2 footprint compared with traditional construction. The building is clad in red facing bricks, referencing the existing buildings, and combined with timber slats.
Biodiversity and stormwater management
The new conference and accommodation wing comprises 80 rooms. It also includes a large conference hall seating 165 guests, meeting rooms, a lounge, a bistro seating 172 diners, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. A sedum roof and the landscaped areas around the building are designed to support biodiversity and to delay and infiltrate rainwater. In connection with the new parking areas and the building, charging stations and solar panels have been installed.
In addition to the new accommodation wing, two circular landscape pavilions have been built, including a meeting pavilion, a large fire hut, and an outdoor sports and activity area, supporting the many courses and team-building activities at Campus BØGEHØJ.
