The design of B-One

Located at the intersection of Landwehrkanal and Corneliusbrücke in Berlin’s City West, B-One completes the existing urban block while forming a new reference point at the edge of Berlin’s western city centre.

The 11-storey building supports Berlin Hyp’s long-term vision while contributing to the development of the surrounding neighbourhood.

The building steps down from its full height towards the neighbouring historic villa at Budapester Strasse 5. This creates a considered transition between the scale of the new building and its historic context.

B-One is designed around changing ways of working. Flexible workspaces, quiet areas for concentration and shared spaces for collaboration are brought together in a workplace that supports both focus and exchange. At its centre, a shared “town hall” serves as a meeting point and creative workspace, accommodating everyday interaction as well as larger gatherings and client receptions.
