DGNB certification in Platinum and Diamond
At the top of the building, a roof garden and conference facilities offer views across Berlin. In the courtyard, a green oasis adjacent to the town hall and cafeteria creates another space for informal meetings and wellbeing.
The façade combines planted terraces with a self-shading design that helps reduce solar loads. Photovoltaic panels are discreetly integrated into the natural stone façade grid, contributing to the building’s energy performance while preserving its calm and understated expression.
The building achieved an overall DGNB score of 87.8%, with particularly high results in ecological quality, process quality, and location quality, and was awarded DGNB Platinum and DGNB Diamond for its outstanding architectural, interior and cultural design quality.
