C.F. Møller Architects strengthens its Landscape & Urbanism department

C.F. Møller is gearing up to take on more unique landscape and urban development projects in Eastern Denmark with new staff in Copenhagen.

C.F. Møller has a well-established Landscape & Urbanism department in Aarhus, primarily focused on independent projects in urban development, landscape design, planning, and tasks related to building projects as part of C.F. Møller's integrated design approach. The department is based in Aarhus with satellites in the rest of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

The Copenhagen department has grown organically along with the incoming projects until now, but increased demand for solutions to challenges in the landscape and urban areas, particularly related to climate and resource consumption, means that more knowledge and manpower are needed to address densely populated areas of Denmark.

- Even though we work dynamically across offices, solving tasks throughout the Nordic region, it is, of course, an advantage to have a dedicated department in Copenhagen with a focus on Eastern Denmark. Therefore, we are pleased to welcome Martin Hedevang as a new member of C.F. Møller and team leader in Copenhagen, says Jens Rex, Head of C.F. Møller Architects, Landscape & Urbanism.

Martin Hedevang currently serves as the chairperson for the Association of Danish Landscape Architects and is former owner of ORCA, which specialises in circular landscape architecture. Following by his education as Cand. Horc. Ark, Landscape Architecture at the University of Copenhagen, Martin Hedevand co-founded BY RUM SKOLE and Out of Office Architecture.

- I look forward to the exciting task of strengthening C.F. Møller Architects' presence in East Denmark. C.F. Møller's ambitions to create functional and beautiful landscape spaces, combined with a longstanding focus on sustainability, appeal to me greatly. With such a background and increased physical presence, I am confident that we can be a strong partner for both public and private clients," says Martin Hedevang.

In addition to Martin Hedevang's addition, an employee from the Aarhus department is moving to Copenhagen, bringing the total to six employees with expertise in landscape architecture and urban development at the branch in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. The Landscape & Urbanism department currently employs 26 people, working closely across cities and in collaboration with C.F. Møller's other areas of expertise, including sustainability, user involvement, and architectural design.
