C.F. Møller Architects opens office in Gothenburg

C.F. Møller Architects is now establishing a presence in Gothenburg, further strengthening the practice’s footprint along Sweden’s west coast. The internationally recognised architecture firm, which has operated in Malmö since 2020, is now taking the next step in its Swedish expansion.

“Gothenburg is a city undergoing strong development with major ambitions for its waterfront, its neighbourhoods, and its role as a hub between the Scandinavian capitals. These are exactly the kind of places where C.F. Møller wants to be. With its proximity to Oslo, and our offices in Denmark, Gothenburg forms a natural part of our Nordic presence, and we see enormous opportunities to contribute to the city’s continued transformation,” says Mårten Leringe, Partner, Chairman of the Board and Architect SAR/MSA at C.F. Møller Architects.

The Architectural studio as a creative meeting place
The office is located at Hälsingegatan 12 in central Gothenburg, with excellent transport connections and close proximity to collaborators and clients. The space is designed as an open and inspiring workplace where sustainable materials and a creative atmosphere set the tone. Industry colleagues are always welcome to visit.
Gothenburg serves as a hub for projects along Sweden’s west coast and works closely with C.F. Møller’s other offices in Stockholm, Malmö, Aarhus, Aalborg, Copenhagen, Oslo, London and Berlin — together comprising approximately 350 employees. The practice offers a high level of expertise within urban planning, architecture, landscape, interior design and industrial design.

On the drawing board — and in the City
C.F. Møller Architects has long left its mark on Gothenburg. One of the most significant projects is Harbour Stones at Lindholmen — a masterplan for a new residential district in Gothenburg’s former industrial harbour, developed in collaboration with Älvstranden Utveckling AB, PEAB, Skanska, HSB and the City Planning Office of Gothenburg. The project is a clear example of the studio’s ability to transform former industrial land into vibrant urban environments with high architectural quality. Environmental and resource awareness, social responsibility and strong craftsmanship form the foundation of everything C.F. Møller does — from masterplan to detail.
