C.F. Møller Architects wins 3 x Building of the Year 2025

No fewer than three projects by C.F. Møller receive the Danish Building of the Year 2025 award, while two additional projects receive honourable mention.

Building of the Year is a national award presented each December to the best and most significant buildings of the year, based on their societal and professional importance. This year, C.F. Møller Architects wins Building of the Year with WoodHub in the Office category, a new office building for several Danish agencies in Odense and a pioneering timber construction project; ObelHus, in the Housing category, the transformation of an original tobacco factory in Aalborg into new housing that respects the cultural heritage; and sØværket, in the Outdoor Space category, a former waterworks transformed into a combined urban park, stormwater basin and heating plant.

C.F. Møller also receives honourable mention for the climate adaptation project Storkeengen in Randers, which protects the city and the River Gudenå while creating a new recreational landscape, and for the Stigsborg project, which transforms a former industrial area by the Limfjord in Nørresundby into an attractive new residential district.

“We would like to thank Magasinet Byggeri for the recognition. The common thread in these projects – and in C.F. Møller’s work as a whole – is our consistent focus on creating positive impact for both people and the climate, and, not least, on delivering holistic and durable solutions,” says Lone Bendorff, Partner and CEO at C.F. Møller Architects.

About the award
The award was established by Magasinet Byggeri and has been presented annually since 1997. Initially named Selected Buildings, it was renamed Building of the Year in 2008.
The jury consists of top executives from the building sector’s most important organisations and institutions. The jury’s recognition is traditionally marked with an award ceremony at the winning building – a festive celebration together with involved stakeholders, users/residents, professional groups and key contributors.
