C.F. Møller Architects appointed client adviser for the expansion of Varde Town Hall

Following an extensive tendering process, Varde Municipality has agreed with C.F. Møller Architects, who will serve as client adviser for the expansion of the Town Hall, which is to be merged with the Varde Citizen Centre at Bytoften.

By 2028, Varde Town Hall and the Citizen Centre at Bytoften 2 will be consolidated, making the site the municipality's central hub for administration.

This means that the existing Town Hall must be enlarged to offer high-quality facilities for both citizens and staff. The expansion will emphasise functionality, flexibility, and a healthy working environment.

The role of the client adviser
In the first phase, C.F. Møller Architects will develop an initial sketch proposal and concept design, transforming input from citizens, employees, and the interior design consultancy Rightsize into architectural strategies that support a holistic use of the building and its surroundings.

Furthermore, an integrated sustainability strategy will be devised to ensure that the project prioritises green solutions, energy efficiency, and high-quality materials.
Together, these elements will form the basis for the subsequent tendering of the construction works.

“I am pleased that we have reached yet another milestone in the expansion of the Town Hall. The extension will ensure high-quality conditions for citizens in their interaction with the administration. Equally important is that we create good workplaces and a healthy working environment for the 600 employees who will have their daily base at Bytoften,” says Mads Sørensen, Mayor of Varde Municipality.
