Birthday Reception in Aarhus
15.8.2019 | Partner and architect Julian Weyer turns 50 years. C.F. Møller Architects will host a reception to celebrate Julian, and it will be our great pleasure if friends, colleagues and business partners will attend the reception to celebrate Julian Friday the 30th of August, 15.00-17.00 at Europaplads 2.
Julian Weyer was born in Berlin, and has lived in Denmark since 1975, where he finished his studies at the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1994. Since then, he has lectured at the School of Architecture, and worked professionally as an architect and at C.F. Møller Architects’ offices in Aarhus, Berlin and London, before becoming a partner of C.F. Møller Architects in 2007.
Julian Weyer has extensive experience in the field of architecture, landscape architecture and urban design, including numerous competition wins and award-winning designs. He is working on projects in Denmark, Germany and the UK as well as worldwide. He is also a frequent lecturer worldwide, author of articles and book publications, and has served as board member of the Danish Green Building Council.
Notable built projects include the multi-purpose educational, sports and community complex the “Heart” in Ikast, the Bestseller office complex in the Port of Aarhus; the Campus Hall of residence at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, the Port of Aarhus HQ and Port Centre, the Bestseller logistics centre in Haderslev, the Danish A.P. Møller School in Schleswig, Germany; and residential projects including part of the Athletes Village for the London 2012 Olympics and the Sil(o)houtte, a conversion of a former grain silo in Aarhus, Denmark. In the field of urbanism, Julian Weyer has been responsible for large-scale regeneration and development plans for cities, waterfronts and campuses in Denmark, UK, Ireland, Germany, Norway and Sweden.
Awards include the European Architecture Award, the Iconic Award, Civic Trust Awards, RIBA International Award, Aarhus and Odense Municipality Architecture Awards, Residential of the Year WAN AWARD, Commercial of the Year WAN AWARD, Worldwide Brick Award and the Danish Academy Council prize.
