The aim of the project was to create a safe and secure environment respecting the different needs of patients, relations, employees and society. The center is a maximum security building with dignified and eventful surroundings for the forensic patients and a safe and inspiring working environment for the employees.

Friblick was awarded 2nd prize and commented favorably on by the Swedish jury.

According to the jury the project has a “tight and rational underlying structure, which gives a dramatic appearance in a spatial interaction between the interior and the exterior. The project is pointing forward by assuming the attitude that forensic psychiatry equals good care, despite the demands for maximum security."
